Combat vision blur

How to Improve Your Eyesight

Improving your eyesight takes dedication. There are certain exercises to achieve this goal.

Steps

  1. Learn about how vision works so that you can understand what you are doing when you are retraining your vision. Improving your vision is a matter of changing the habitual way you see and use your eyes.
  2. Get an eye chart and place it on the wall so you can measure your progress. You can usually find one online.
  3. Place your hands together palm to palm and rub them together briskly creating heat. Place them over your eyes and let your eyes relax. Do this whenever you have time during the day or sitting at the computer.
  4. Place the palm of your hands over your eyes once a day and close your eyes. Be sure that you don't put any pressure on the eye but cup the hand gently over the eye. See if you can see totally black. Keep doing this until you can. It helps to relax the eyes.
  5. Blink more.
  6. Use alternating hot and cold compresses on your eyes daily to help relax them.
  7. Move your eyes more when you look at things. Most vision problems are really from the way we move or don't move our eyes and the habitual movements of seeing.
  8. Learn more vision relaxation methods.
  9. Practice them everyday for a month or so or until you see changes.
